How were you introduced to the Church of Christ?

I was introduced to the Church by a deacon at the Southside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Florida. He conducted a Bible study with me and I obeyed the gospel a month later. I wanted to serve God and lead my family in the right direction.  Beyond my family, I also wanted to aid others in their walk and the opportunity came to serve in 1990 when I became a deacon and later in 2012 when I accepted the role to serve as an elder. The Word so inspired me to dedicate my life to God and still motivates me to this day.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)

Johnny worships with his wife Peggy and they have three adult children.
